The brand refresh and 2019 campaign for Soccer Aid aimed at helping audiences understand that ‘We play, so. They can play’

Soccer Aid is a charity football match between two teams of stars and footballing legends that’s raised over £38m in aid of UNICEF.

While people knew what Soccer Aid was, over half of them didn’t know it was for the brilliant cause of supporting underprivileged children.

Inspired by the similarity between chalk drawn football tactics and playground game markings, we developed a new brand property to help inject warmth and fun into the visual brand identity.

The doodles we illustrated and animated act as a playful and flexible addition across all communications both static and moving.
