A new Video On Demand service for the Indian market

We’ve had the honour of working creatively with the Malayala Manorama Group, based in Kerala, for over 15 years helping to launch their TV channels. Most recently they asked us to get involved in their latest project to launch an OTT platform that would create a new content rich destination including new exclusive shows.

With a host of challenging parameters, from how legally the name needed to be seen as one unit to the technical requirements of the platform, we worked closely with the Manorama in-house team to create a solution that could be rolled across all of their touch points and allow them to launch within a tight timeframe whilst also allowing the brand assets to be developed in the future.

A number of routes were explored but the simple and immediately understood icon of a play arrow stood out as it was effectively already an integral part of the master M so never felt like a cliche forced into the solution but rather a simple and elegant icon that fitted seamlessly into the Manorama brand.

Delighted to see ManoramaMAX pick up awards at the 2021 and 2022 E4M PLAY AWARDS and we look forward to working with the team in Kerala to help build the brand as it grows.
