Modernising the BBC’s Children’s channels.
A younger audience meant a broadcast system we’d helped put in place for a refreshed BBC needed to be expanded.
Working as part of BBC Creative we collaborated closely with BBC Children’s Marketing in Salford to ensure these changes were right for the viewers of their channels.
Whereas CBeebies had the much-loved Bugs, CBBC needed a fresh and fun new expression to help bring it to life; meet the Flooms, born from the BBC blocks, the heroes of playful and occasionally outright silly scenarios that represent the broad offering of the channel.
Working collaboratively with 3D animation specialists Ink & Giants and SR Partners we created a set of 15 bonkers idents that were a lot of fun to make.
The system needed to align with the new BBC navigation that works across all channel and platforms
