A pan-BBC marketing design system for single title content brands.
After years of the BBC marketing its brilliant content inconsistently from campaign to campaign, with very little brand attribution, the ambition of this project was to communicate the BBC master brand as the 'creator brand'.
Amy worked with BBC Creative to create a design system that not only heroes the BBC blocks with a bigger, central masthead design, but also unites the brand and content in a more engaging and creative way. Seeing the BBC blocks in vibrant colour - historically they could only be applied in monochrome or dark blue - and allowing them to sparkle (Ru Paul) or bleed (Dracula) breathes much needed life into the brand.
The system of template files we created ensures that whoever is creating a campaign and wherever content is marketed, whether print or digital formats with their various dimensions, the visual hierarchy remains consistent.
